The universe doesn’t speak English, It speaks frequency.

From beginning of human civilisation, music and sound have been used as tools to promote relaxation, healing and meditation

Singing bowls originated in Mesopotamia over 5,000 years ago, and made their way to the regions of Tibet, Nepal and India which all have singing bowls in their history and culture dating back some 2,000 years. Originally made of pure copper in the ancient world for medicinal purposes, they are now made most often of bronze (a combination of copper, tin and zinc) or a seven-metal medley of copper, tin, zinc, iron, lead, gold and silver—seven earth metals for the seven chakras.

The sound of Tibetan singing bowls harmonizes and allows deep relaxation of both sides of the brain. It stimulates stress relief on all levels and the elimination of toxins from the body.

“Everything in the universe has a vibrational frequency… Those vibrations interact with every cell in your body.” – Mark Menolascino, MD

The singing bowl is a metal bowl, struck by a mallet, often used in spiritual or religious settings to invoke meditation or relaxation through the resounding vibrations and pleasant sounds it emanates when played. They can also be used in sound therapy to induce healing and treat various illnesses. The sounds the singing bowls produce are said to create a kind of energy that may centre the frequencies of the body, mind and soul. Playing these bowls has also been said to cause the left and right sides of the brain to synchronize together, creating a peace and calm during meditation.

Hundreds of scientific articles have confirmed that music has infinite benefits for the brain, such as improving cognitive performance, boosting mood and relieving stress.

In terms of Sound therapy specifically, one study showed that Tibetan Sound Bowl Meditation can reduce feeling of tension, anxiety and depression while improving spiritual well-being.

Another journal reported that soothing music has the ability to increase oxytocin levels for resulting in improved relaxation.

According to American Psychological Association, while research in this field continues, there is a great promise showing that sound and music can treat pain and reduce stress.

Some of the most highly reported benefits of sound healing include:
  • deep relaxation and muscle regeneration
  • Reduced stress and anger
  • Improved sleep
  • cleansing of chakras (energetic centres and the nadi – astral channels)
  • a higher frequency reaches our innermost essence, which boosts our energy and our vibrational le
